Cédric Cabral Alamada

Cédric Cabral Alamada received his PhD in chemistry from the Université Claude Bernard Lyon 1. During his PhD thesis, he worked on the catalytic depolymerization of lignin in oxidizing media under the supervision of Dr. Laurent Djakovitch and Pr. Pascal Fongarland at the Institut de Recherche en Catalyse et Environnement de Lyon (IRCELYON). Then, he completed a post-doc fellowship at the Laboratoire de Chimie des Polymères Organiques (LCPO) under the direction of Pr. Stéphane Grelier where he studied the enhancement of wood durability against wood-decaying fungi with lignin adducts. Subsequently, he explored the valorization of lignin through photocatalysis at the Institut des Sciences Chimiques de Rennes (ISCR) and is continuing his work at Chimie ParisTech, PLS University under the supervision of Pr Jean-François Soulé.

Jian Zhang

Jian Zhang studied at the Jiamusi University(2014–2018), receiving a BSc in Chemistry. After graduation, he spent a year in ChemParter in pharmaceutical chemistry. From 2019 to 2021, he did his master in Green chemistry and Catalysis with Dr. Henri Doucet at the Université de Rennes 1. Afterwards, he pursued his PhD in Organic Chemistry and Catalysis under supervision of Prof. Jean-François Soulé at the same lab until the end of October, 2022. Then, he moved to Paris at Chimie ParisTech-PSL with Prof. Soulé. In his spare time, he likes watching movies and cooking.

Bin Lv

From 2014 to 2018, Bin Lv (吕斌) studied at Xi’an Polytechnic University and earned a BA degree in Applied Chemistry. Subsequently, he worked under the supervison of Prof. Rui Cao at Shaanxi Normal University, where he achieved significant results in the field of Metal porphyrins and corroles for efficient electrocatalytic oxygen reduction reaction and hydrogen evolution reaction (2018-2021). Currently, he is pursuing his Ph.D. in ChimieParisTech, under the supervision of Prof. Jean-François Soulé, focusing on Photoredox catalysis for C(sp3)-H bond functionalizations, supported by the CSC.

Loris Geminiani

Loris Geminiani studied at the University of Angers (2015-2018) where he completed a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry. After that, he pursued his studies at the University of Rennes 1 and obtained a Master’s degree in Molecular Chemistry. During his Master’s program, he conducted an internship on the synthesis of alkynylisocyanates under the guidance of Professors Jean-Claude Guillemin and Yann Trolez at the ISCR (Rennes Institute of Chemical Sciences). Following his Master’s degree, he start a joint PhD program to study homogeneous catalysis in October 2022, under the supervision of Professors Jean-François Soulé and Matthias Beller. For the initial eighteen months, he conducted his research at the ISCR, and since April 2023, he has been continuing his PhD at the Leibnitz Institute for Catalysis in Rostock, Germany. During his free time, Loris enjoys playing chess, board games, and reading.

Christian Mina

Christian Mina is currently pursuing a Master’s degree in Molecular Chemistry at Sorbonne University. He obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry from Université Paris Cité. Throughout his academic journey, he has completed several internships. In 2021, he completed a molecular modeling internship at Université Paris Saclay under the supervision of Professor Carine CLAVAGUERA. In 2022, he embarked on a 5-month internship in organometallic chemistry focusing on Nickel complexes, working with Professor Davit Zargarian in Montreal. Currently, since February 2023, he is conducting his internship with Professor Jean-François Soulé, researching C-H bond functionalization of isoxazole using data-science in collaboration with Thijs Stuyver.
