Sofía completed her PhD at the Institute of Research in Physical Chemistry of Córdoba (INFIQC)-National University of Córdoba (UNC), Argentine in 2023, working on the design of visible-light photoredox and electro-photocatalytic strategies for the synthesis of organic molecules of interest under the supervision of Dr. Javier Bardagi. During her PhD, she gained experience as a visiting researcher at the University of Regensburg (Germany) in 2019, in the group of Prof. Dr. Burkhard König, where she explored photochemistry applied to organic synthesis, and later at the University of Rostock (Germany) in 2021–2022, working with Prof. Dr. Robert Francke on the development of electrochemical methods for organic synthesis. In 2023, Sofía held a postdoctoral position, working on the development of hybrid metal–enzyme catalysts under the supervision of Dr. Fabricio R. Bisogno and Dr. Gabriela Oksdath-Mansilla at INFIQC-UNC. In 2025, she joined the group of Prof. Jean-François Soulé at Chimie ParisTech (ICLeHS, CSB2D) where she works on designing catalytic strategies for the synthesis of active pharmaceutical ingredients in collaboration with EUROAPI, within the Important Projects of Common European Interest (IPCEI), Med4Cure framework supported by Bpifrance.
